Design - Spirit Ridge Album & Trilogy by Dean Owens

I first met Dean Owens at the Albino Skunk Music Festival in Greer, South Carolina. He'd had a song selected as the the #1 Americana UK song that year co-written with The Two Tracks producer and friend Will Kimbrough so I was interested to see who this guy was. All of his songs were great, and he was a fun guy to hang out with as well. We became friends and even played a small tour with Dean in Montana, Wyoming and South Dakota way back in 2019. I've stayed in touch and some design work caught his eye from some posters I was doing for The Two Tracks so he reached out and asked if I'd be interested in designing the album artwork for his recent release Spirit Ridge, and the triology of EPs leading up to that release.

To me it felt like a true honor to offer my hand at a significant album by Dean and I eagerly agreed to design the album. Sometimes with design you find your groove and a look and feel and everything falls into place. This was definitely one of those works - once the original look and feel were agreed upon, all of the other pieces including the vinyl record just fell right into place and nothing seemed to get away from the look and feel we wanted. Loved it!
